Currently operating, but an upgrade is planned if the station is of

The station has not deadline to stop the operations. The station costs are
fully support by the services budget.

The station is able to provide hourly data. Hourly and daily files can be
provided with few minutes delay.

@@@ Necessary to check the receiver specifications in particular, but I
believe this is something normal for such a recent receiver. @@@

# Are there currently operating IGS stations within 1000km? Approximately

MAS1 and GMAS, about 600km. RABT, about 885km.  SFER, about 1000km.

# What IGS product or project will this site benefit, based on its

Yes, the local datum for Madeira, which is one of the official Portuguese
data.

Operators can send some pictures but, as mentioned, the
marker will be also upgraded.

The current setup is a LEICA GX1230 with a LEIAX1202 antenna mounted
in a mast. However, if the station will be included in the IGS network,
they intend to update both the antenna (to a choke ring one) and the
mounting device (create a physical marker point and using a more robust
mounting device.
