Dear colleagues,

You have received the notice concerning this new mail service in 
support of the AFREF initiative which we promised to implement last 
August -- many thanks to Angie Moore  here at the IGS Central Bureau 
for setting this up.

You will directly receive the messages, as well as having access to a 
log of communications as mentioned in the 'welcome to afref' message.

I encourage you to use this service as an active archive of messages 
and resource of information as we collectively try to move forward 
with this project.

In the next days I will update you on the activities since August, 
summarizing a meeting with Claude Boucher and Richard Wonnacott in 
late September in Washington D.C. and forwarding additional 
information that is worthwhile to share.
