Subject: Start of IGEX98 Campaign: October 19, 1998 !!!!


To: All participants of the IGEX98 Campaign

Dear Colleagues,

on behalf of the IGEX98 Steering Committee, I would
like to annonce that the IGEX98 campaign will be shifted
in time to the following period:

    Monday October 19, 1998 to Friday, January 22, 1999
    ---------------------------------------------------

We had to take this decision due to the large number
of stations which have been installed but not operational
(see statistics below).

Presently, the status of the IGEX98 campaign looks fine
and should be a success for observation:

Status at September 7, 1998 
(from the answers to the IGEX Station Questionnaire)

    4 Operationnal stations (Delft/DUT, Neustrelitz, Wettzell, Zimmerwald)
   22 Installed
   36 Financed (or loaned) but not yet received
    7 Not yet financed
    7 Status unkown (no answer to the IGEX Station Questionnaire)

Our Web site (http://lareg.ensg.ign.fr/IGEX) will be updated
this week to take into account this information.

We hope that this decision will not create too much 
operationnal problems from your point of view and that
it will help several groups to be really ready
for the very start of the IGEX98 Campaign.
