GPS Community,

The network outage on the SIO campus (San Diego, CA, USA) that affected 
all http, ftp & email services at SOPAC was resolved yesterday afternoon. 
Parking lot construction workers severed fiber optics connecting SIO to 
main UCSD campus....and the greater internet.  The entire SIO campus was 
without internet connectivity of any kind for approximately 8 hours.

We are back, and all services should have resumed as normal.

Our apologies.  As you can guess, this was NOT a planned outage
