Dear Colleagues,
Those of you with Trimble NetRS receivers who intend to take part in the IGS
demonstration of tracking the L2C signal:
If you want to track L2C while the satellite is still marked unhealthy, you will
need a firmware upgrade to version "Beta 0.40"
Without this upgrade, the NetRS does not track L2 on satellites set unhealthy.
You can check L2 tracking on unhealthy satellites by setting "Ignore Health" for
PRN 31, since it is currently set unhealthy but trackable on both L1 and L2 (but
not L2C, of course).
You can obtain this firmware by contacting Brian_Frohring @ Trimble.com and
requesting it. Our best information at the moment is that the L2C signal might
be turned on for testing around 22 Oct.
Many thanks to V. Andreatta (UNAVCO), D. Stowers (JPL), K. Miller (JPL), B.
Frohring (Trimble) for identifying, testing, and correcting this issue.
Best regards,
Angie
