[IGSMAIL-5775]: igs05_1480.atx - New release of the absolute IGS antenna correction file

Dear IGS colleagues!

The absolute IGS antenna correction file (igs05_wwww.atx) has been updated. The new release is called 'igs05_1480.atx'. It contains 11 additional robot calibrations from Geo++ (http://gnpcvdb.geopp.de/), several of them replacing converted field calibration results used so far. Such a replacement of values is only possible, as the respective antenna types are currently NOT in use within the IGS network and the EUREF Permanent GNSS Network EPN. However, the robot calibrations are important for the ongoing reprocessing efforts, especially as regards the EPN.

Users of the respective antenna types outside the IGS are warned that the change of the phase center corrections may cause considerable jumps in time series of station coordinates. The following antenna types are affected:

New robot calibrations:

calibration replacement; never used within the IGS network; affected EPN station: GSR1 (antenna replaced in the meantime)

calibration replacement; never used within the IGS network; affected EPN stations: CASC (antenna replaced in the meantime), MANS (no longer active)

new calibration; used at IGS and EPN station REYK; EPN uses individual calibration

new calibration; used at future EPN stations TRF2 and SBG2

new calibration; might cause consistency problems, if the calibration for the antenna without the radome was used so far; never used within the IGS network; affected EPN stations: BORK (no longer active), HOBU (antenna replaced in the meantime)


9) TRM33429.20+GP TCWD
calibration replacement; considerable difference between the robot calibration and the converted field calibration (about 1 cm in zenith direction for L1); the phase center corrections do not refer to the antenna reference point given in antenna.gra (BPA = bottom of preamplifier), but to the bottom of the additional 'dome groundplane'; update of antenna.gra will follow; never used within the IGS network; affected EPN station: BUTE (antenna replaced in the meantime)


10) TRM55971.00 TZGD
calibration replacement; affected IGS stations: DUBR, OSJE (observation data was not distributed); affected EPN stations: BUTE, KLOP, ZYWI (individual calibrations used), DUBR, OSJE (observation data was not distributed), MOP2 (individual calibration underway?)
