Dear Colleagues,
Ref. [IGSSTATION-1894].
The communication outage to the Mbarara, Uganda (MBAR) station has been
resolved, and the link looks stable again. We have resumed data
publishing, but there was unfortunately a data gap between December 14th
(2007.348) - February 4th (2008.035). There were no GPS equipment
changes during this period.
A station communication upgrade has been planned for late February, and
we expect some downtime at that point, but backlogged data should be
recoverable and will be published once we are back operational.
We apologize for the inconvenience this lengthy outage may have caused.
Maintenance and operations of the MBAR station is a collaborative effort
supported by JPL, UNAVCO, and Uganda Geological Survey and Mines Dept.
with funding provided by NASA's Earth Surface and Interior Focus Area -
Science Mission Directorate.
Best Regards,
-Oivind Ruud
