Dear Colleagues,
The H-Maser clock input to the receiver at the Goddard Space Flight
Center in Greenbelt, MD (GODE), had two interruptions in the past few
days. The first, one minute, outage was not planned, the second outage
was a scheduled maintenance of the H-Maser. During the outages the
Ashtech CGRS receiver was not switched to internal clock steering, and
the H-Maser lost phase lock and the LO was drifting. The two outage
periods were as follows:
February 4th (2008.035) 14:07 UTC - 14:08 UTC
February 6th (2008.037) 16:30 UTC - 22:15 UTC
An updated log reflecting the outages has been submitted to the IGS-CB.
We would also like to acknowledge our contact personnel at the Goddard
Space Flight Center in managing the outage and restoring operations quickly.
Maintenance and operations of the GODE station is a collaborative effort
supported by JPL, UNAVCO, and the NASA Goddard Space Flight Center with
funding provided by NASA's Earth Surface and Interior Focus Area -
Science Mission Directorate.
Best regards,
-Oivind Ruud
