Data Formats A. Moore The possibility of a new IGS data format has been discussed on several previous occasions, particularly in the context of upcoming LEO operations. The removal of SA has lightened somewhat the requirements for data rates on the order of 1Hz, which in turn relaxes the archival and transmission bandwidth needed. As the impact of a new format is not taken lightly, the LEO requirements which necessitate a new format will be reviewed. Several groups have internally developed binary data formats, some of which will be described in detail in Workshop posters. This talk will briefly summarize the formats currently in use or development and attempt to identify specifications which should be applied to a new IGS data standard.
