Extended GPS site documentation Plag, H.-P., Kierulf, H. P.; Kristiansen, O.; Opseth, P. E.; Rekkedal, S. (Norwegian Mapping Authority, Honefoss, Norway) Documentation of GPS and other permanent geodetic sites is increasingly made available through several media and needs to be available for different purposes. As a result, the same information is often available at different sources. This creates considerable maintenance problems in keeping all sources up-to-date, thus leading to inconsistencies and out-dated information. NMA is developing a structure for a site documentation with only one primary source of information. This primary source consists of ASCII files and picture files as master files. From them, derived information such as log files and web documentation are created by programs. Whenever information in the primary source is changed, semi-automated routines up-date all derived documentation as well as all secondary internal and external sources such as the IGS data centre.
