IGS Pilot Projects and Working Groups

The IGS Terms of Reference (1999) defines Working Groups and Pilot Project as follows:

"A Working Group works on a particular topic related to the IGS components according to goals and schedule specified in the working group's charter. A Pilot Project aims at the development of particular IGS product(s) or service(s) relying on the IGS infrastructure. "

New IGS products may be managed by a Product Coordinator other than the Analysis Coordinator (who manages the "classic" IGS orbit and clock products). In this case, a Working Group may also be attached to the continuing effort.
